The action begins at 5pm with live music on the pier. Events run through the evening, closing with a spectacular grand finale at 10pm. Free entry for all.

The opening spectacular of the carnival. Giant branded rubber ducks are launched between the pier heads and race across the harbour to cross the finish line first. Trophy awarded for Best Dressed Duck.
Teams of ladies compete for a coveted prize by paddling a dinghy containing four of their team across the mouth of the marina, where they pick up two additional competitors and return to the starting point. The twist: no oars are permitted and all participants must remain in the boat. No easy feat with six people frantically paddling a small inflatable dinghy.
Two teams participate in this classic event with a Harbour Carnival twist: they stand side by side, not opposing one another. The rope goes across the mouth of the harbour with a pulley on the other side. The losing team is the one that ends the bout by falling into the harbour. Teams can be mixed or single-sex. Heats are contested with a grand final. Minimum age 16.
Challengers attempt to pilot their homemade flying machines the furthest distance from the platform over the harbour. Entrants are very much encouraged to wear whatever fancy dress or costume they feel appropriate, but the judges will only accept entries from those using some form of flying contraption, vehicle or similar craft. The only restrictions are that it can only be powered by muscle, gravity and imagination. No engine or propellant permitted.
Local bands keeping the harbour buzzing all night, plus a packed food village with Guernsey's finest street food traders on Crown Pier, open from noon. Pick from a wide selection of food and drink stands. No one goes hungry at Harbour Carnival.
Stick around and enjoy the popular closing spectacular to finish the evening. New for 2026: we're exploring an innovative drone light show as a stunning, animal-friendly alternative to fireworks.
